As the Rainforest Alliance’s Chief People Officer, Margriet Glazenborg is responsible for the development and implementation of effective people strategies in support of our mission, strategy, and values. She works closely with our senior leaders and the Human Resources team to attract and retain talent, supporting our diverse global team in making a positive impact in the world.
Margriet has more than 20 years of international experience. As a management consultant, she worked on a broad variety of projects in the area of strategy, change management, and operations. As a business developer and program manager, she has set up new programs for improved access to healthcare in Africa and in sustainable supply chains such as spices. After joining UTZ in 2013 to manage the Product Management team, in 2018 Margriet became the director of the post-merger integration. In that role, she was closely involved in building the new organization after the merger between UTZ and Rainforest Alliance.
She holds a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam, and studied Political Science at the University of Fort Hare in South Africa.
